Thanks so much for your support and for visiting my store.
I am Cecilia Anderson aka Novice and I design and create all my pieces in my home studio in beautiful Quandamooka land, Redland Bay, Brisbane. Australia. I have been crafting unique pieces for over 8 years and am constantly learning something new about this amazingly dynamic and multifaceted craft called ‘pottery’.
I enjoy my online community and all that it encompasses, because I can make a direct connection and build relationships with my customers, based purely on a shared love of handcrafted pottery.
All of my pieces are made with my hands, using either coil, slab, handpinched methods of hand building, not a wheel and using Australian clay bodies.
Although I sometimes create two of the same pieces, each bespoke piece is singularly unique and crafted with individualised attention from start to finish. It can take from 8 to 16 steps to create one final unique piece and the distinction of 'handmade' is earned by each singular piece, as it passes through my hands many, many times before it finished its creation journey. I embrace the organic shapes that the clay envibes once fired and love how each piece tells a story of its own.

ABOUT Store & Order Information
Gifts
At the time of purchase, let me know if it is a gift and the occasion as well as what you would like included in the note. I will gift wrap it for you and include a card. Gift wrapping is free.
Shipping
The shipping cost shown in this online store is ONLY for Tracked Australia Post Standard Shipping within AUSTRALIA. I will post your order within 2-3 business days of receipt. Shipping can take from 3-10 days, depending on where you are in Australia or around Christmas (there can be delays).
I only ship within AUSTRALIA, at this time.
If you require expediated shipping please contact me via email or leave a note with your order and I will be in touch with any extra costs involved.
Packaging
As each one of my pieces is one-of-a-kind and carefully handmade with love, I package each of my pieces very, very carefully and secure using recycled materials (newspapers, catalogues, recycled packaging), when possible, to prevent them from breaking during transit. Please reuse reduce or recycle any packaging materials, if possible.
LOCAL Click and Collect
If you live in the Brisbane Redlands area and would like to collect your order from Redland Bay, please use the code ‘LOCALCOLLECT’ to get shipping cost deducted. Once your order comes through, I will contact you to arrange a time over the weekend between 11am and 6pm to come and collect your order. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
Wholesale
Yes, I do sell wholesale under the following terms. Wholesale pieces sell at 20% less than the online advertised price for orders of over 15, per item (e.g., 15 Egg Trays). A non-refundable deposit of 70% of the whole order price must be paid before the order is made to cover labor and resource costs. Timeframes depend on the availability of resources. All remaining costs must be paid, including postage, once all order items are finished and packaged, BEFORE they are sent. I will send you a photograph prior to posting.
Breakages
On the rare occasion that this may happen, upon receipt of order, you have THREE (3) days from the Australia Post tracking information, to contact me with photographs. ONLY 3 days.
After that you have TWO choices,
I can refund your purchase cost (minus postage).OR
I will attempt recreate the piece you purchased for you, depending on resource (clay & glazes) availability, this can take from 4 to 6 weeks. Please be advised each piece is singularly and individually handcrafted by my hands, I do not use molds, therefore it is impossible to create the exact same piece, hence there will be some differentiations.Disclaimer
Each of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, you can find slight imperfections and marks left by the handmade process. This is a part of the piece’s story in the hand building process. This is what make the piece unique, individual and gives it character.
